Hair Guru London Now Available At Debenhams

Hair Guru London is officially available on Debenhams.

For us, this is much more than another place to shop. It’s a milestone that marks how far the business has come since founder Jamie Shepherd started packing orders from home with a simple goal of helping people feel more confident about their hair.

After thousands of customer reviews, more than 30,000 customers and years of steady growth, we’re proud to be joining one of the UK’s most recognisable retail names.

Founder Jamie Shepherd shared the news with our community in a video posted on 16 July.

“I can’t believe I’m actually saying this.”

Reflecting on the partnership, Jamie said:

“When I started Hair Guru London, I always hoped we’d one day be stocked by major retailers, but it still feels surreal to see it happen. This is a huge moment for our team and everyone who has supported us along the way.”

Hair Guru London has grown differently to many brands. We haven’t relied on huge advertising budgets or celebrity endorsements. Instead, we’ve grown because customers have shared their results, recommended us to friends and trusted us enough to come back time and time again.

Every order, every review and every recommendation has played a part in getting us here.

The launch on Debenhams doesn’t change the products themselves.

Customers will still receive the same cotton hair fibres that have become known for delivering instant, natural looking coverage for thinning hair. Our formula remains exactly the same, using premium cotton fibres that wrap around existing hair to create the appearance of fuller, thicker hair in seconds.

For customers discovering Hair Guru London for the first time through Debenhams, it’s another trusted place to shop our products. For those who have supported us from the beginning, it’s another exciting chapter in the story of a British brand that started with one product and a belief that confidence shouldn’t have to wait.

Looking back, it’s remarkable how much has changed. Jamie left a successful career in television to build Hair Guru London from the ground up, taking a chance on an idea that many people doubted would succeed..

To everyone who has supported us on the journey so far, thank you.

quick answers

What's the difference between cotton and keratin hair fibres? Keratin fibres are generally made from wool protein. Cotton fibres are plant based, lighter, and less prone to clumping together, which is usually what gives a keratin application away under harsh light. Both add coverage. Cotton tends to hold its look better once you're out of the bathroom mirror and into real daylight.

Are cotton hair fibres alright on a sensitive scalp? Cotton is generally well tolerated and it's a sensible option if wool derived products have bothered you before. That said, we're not going to diagnose you through a blog post. If your scalp is actively sore, flaking or irritated, sort that out first and add fibres afterwards. Fibres go on hair, not on broken skin.

Do hair fibres wash out? Yes, and that's the design. They come out with normal shampoo. They'll survive rain, wind and a normal sweaty day once you've locked them in with the spray, but they're not permanent and they're not meant to be.

Will fibres work if I'm properly bald on top? No, and anybody who says otherwise is after your money. Fibres need existing hair to grab. Thinning, yes. Receding at the temples, usually. A fully bare scalp, no.
